Using iPhone 4 on T-Mobile?
So I’ve decided that I’ll probably buy a factory unlocked iPhone 4 when it comes out and use it with T-Mobile, but I just have a few questions that I hope you guys have the answers for.
I heard the iPhone would only be able to use EDGE with T-Mobile, is that true? And is EDGE faster or slower than what the iPhone would use on AT&T? Is it even a noticeable difference? And I would be able to use all the features on the iPhone with T-Mobile right? Things like the App Store would still be available to me?
And last but not least, are they going to sell factory unlocked iPhones in the US? I see in the fine print on the Apple Store that iPhones as gifts would cause $599(16gb) and $699(32gb), but it also says it would be attached to AT&T. What would be the point of paying full retail for an iPhone if it’s still stuck to AT&T?

The iphone 4 will work on Tmobile internet service but no the edge service (tmobile offer 3 different types of connection plans) so that solves that problem
you will need to pay $30 for unlimited data plan through tmobile.
You will need to jailbreak and unlock the iphone 4 iOS 4 basband 5.13.01 which will be out a week after iphone 4 is in the devteams safe hands. (patients is key here)
tmobile with cell coverage and internet service will charge on average $60 to $100 per month depending on what plan you choose compared to at&t plans of $90 to $140 per month. you will make your money back you paid for your iphone 4 in no time
I woluld recommend not buying an iphone 4 for at least one month after its released into the wild.
there will absolutely be a jailbreak and unlock and more app options to unlock the iphone 4 true potiential that will become available to those who dont rush in hap hazardly.
for example: cydia developers updating 3gunrestrictor app in cydia to allow for facetime running over tmobile internet service (epc.tmobile.com). If users were on at&t network with there new data rates would either crash or cause people to dispose of there disposable income even quicker.
i for one am looking forward to using facetime over tmobile network care free.
