apple ipad 3g?? paying 3g coverage?
im very confused.. i wanna get a ipod 3g+wifi but i dont really get the difference between 3g+wifi vs. wifi.
also how do you actually pay for the 3g?? do you buy one of those AT&T prepaid cards and pay it that way and where do you actually go to pay to get 3g coverage or whatever? does it require a credit card or what?? thats a big problem for me bcuz if it requires a credit card to pay the 3g coverage then that would suck cuz i wont be able to pay for it.. thanks for all the answers.
3G is internet via wireless phone companies. Coverage is about the same as the regular 3G phones for AT&T. You pay AT&T, I believe, $14.99 for a 250MB of bandwidth, or $29.99 for unlimited internet access for 1 month. As for credit cards, I’m not quite sure if they still require that for regular phone plans. If so, then you’ll probably need a credit card.
Wi-Fi is internet via radio signal from a nearby router. Much faster but coverage only lasts about 100m from the router.
