iPhone/XCODE development help!!!?
I’m just trying to get started…
in every iphone tutorial, the first thing they do is click File –> New Project, and choose “Cocoa Touch Application” with iPhone->Application selected in the pane on the left.
I don’t have “Coca Touch Application” as an option.. what gives? I am offered the following six choices:
Naviation-based application / OpenGL ES application / Tab Bar application / Utility Application / Window-based application.
I have just downloaded and installed the iPhone SDK from the Apple Developer website and installed on my Macbook running OSX 10.5.5
Any thoughts?
Welcome to iPhone development.
I’m pretty sure they changed those options a while back. It may have said “Cocoa Touch Application” in the early beta releases of the SDK but somewhere along the line they changed to where they have several different kinds of Cocoa Touch applications to choose from.
Not sure what to tell you about the tutorials. They may not match up to the latest SDK.
And get used to the documentation not matching reality.
