Apple Versus Android: What should I go with?
I know I am probably going to get a lot of replies to this question but I’m not sure which way to go when it comes to buying a digital tablet. I love Apple gadgets NOT Macs though cause I am so used to Windows OS. At first I really wanted an IPad not because of the marketing tactics but just because it’s so easy to use. However, now my one friend has convinced me to wait until the Motorola Xoom comes out. Why is there so much hype about Android vs. Apple? Which do you think I should go with and why? Also, I know this is random but my Ipod touch screen is cracked and I don’t want to send it in for repairs…However, despite Apple being a gold digger I still love their gadgets but not their computers. Can anybody out there help me make a decision cause my mind keeps going back and forth on this issue? Thanks!
Definetely Android, why? Here’s why:
1. Apple users say they have better keyboards – they no more do, check out Swype or SlideIT keyboards and text to speech funtionalities
2. Voice Search – This is amazing. You say things like “call John mobile” and it calls John’s mobile, or you say “Call Blue Ribbon Bakery (or any business name)” and it finds that business and calls directly. Don’t need google search or yellow pages to do that anymore. You can also say “play All the Single Ladies” and it plays that song, you say “set alarm for 10 hrs from now” and it does it
3. It support full Adobe Flash (just like on your pc) – Apple will never get it.
4. It’s browser is much faster than iPhone’s Safari
5. It’s produced my many manufacturers, so if you like Samsung, buy a samsung one, if you like Sony ERicsson, buy one from Sony Ericsson
6. All iPhones are the same, but you can find an android phone of many sizes, different cameras, resolutions, performance etc….
7. it’s powered by Google – you will have access to everyday google apps directly. Apple has been in our lives since 1970 and Google came after 25 years and already is the number 1
8. on iPhone, you’re just a user like any other iPhone owner who looks like a guest user in internet cafe, who can play with the computer, browse internet, but can not change anything. On Android, you own your phone. You customize it, you do whatever you want. You change the battery to a better one if you want, you can install different Android versions (OS).
9. When you have an iPhone, you’re just another iPhone user, when you have an Android, you can make it look the way you want it and change anything inside so that it feels like it belongs to you, not to Apple
10. You have 1000s (HTC, Motorola, Sony ERicsson, LG, Samsung etc… ) of choices with the phones, not 4 like on Apple (iphone, 3gs, 4g etc…. )
