Is this a scam…….?
I’m selling A iPad box and case on eBay and the listing says this
Apple iPad Wifi + 3G ((// box and case
And I have a picture of an iPad
I started the bidding at 75 dollars
In the listing I never say the iPad is for sale
And a few days later I added to the description saying that you are bidding on an iPad box and case
Then about a day later I added to the description that the iPad is not included just the box and case
And I’m kinda worried because the bidding has exceeded over 300 dollars and keep going
,will I get in trouble if I go through with this or am I in the clear since the description says the iPad is not included, because I don’t want to go to jail or nothing
Don’t go through with the sale.
Either withdraw the ad, or if it’s close to closing, tell the winner that is is only a box and you won’t take $300+ off him for it.
It IS dishonest to put a picture of an iPad if that is not what you are selling. You should have put the picture of the box.
If you go through with this sale, the buyer will stop the payment at PayPal and Ebay will kick you out forever, and rightly so.
