Checking which model of iPhone I have?
Right I bought the girlfriend a used iphone 3GS 8GB for christmas 2010 (student here so she wasnt getting a brand new one lol)
I started having concerns though when I was playing round with it and when i went on to Apples website to get a user guide it asked to input the IMEI number for the guide. When i done this it displayed the user guide for a 3G not a 3GS like i had payed for.
Is there ways of checking if it is a 3G or 3GS as Apples website is slightly confusing when user guides are being searched as I think it wrong at times.

Simple, connect your phone to your PC via USB, and on iTunes, you will have all the info of your phone, including software version and phone version.
