IPhone App Developers – Privileged Professional Community In Modern Age
iPhone app developers are most sought-after professionals in today’s world of tablets, iPhone application and any professional software development company in the look out of skilled and expert iPhone app developers. There are some milestones in the world that have changed the way the world has been functioning hitherto. Such milestones can be in any and almost all sphere of life, including information and technology. One such milestone is the launch of iPhone by Apple in 2007. There would be no exaggeration if we would describe it as revolution in the field of communication. The reason being, that it can function as a video camera, a camera phone, a portable media player. It can also allow the users send and receive texts, browse the web with both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. When a software development company sets out to develop iPhone applications, the user interface is built around the multi-touch screen of the device. It also involves virtual keyboard rather than a physical one. Right now, Apple offers over 425,000 applications which function diversely. Those applications include games, reference, GPS navigation, social networking, security and advertising for television shows, films, and celebrities.
It was an important occasion for iPhone app developers when in 2008 keeping its promise, Apple released software development kit (SDK) for third party developers at the Apple Town Hall. This kit is a free download which needs an Apple registration and empowers the developers to develop native applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Having developed the applications, it also allows them to test the applications in an “iPhone simulator.” However, Apple does not allow to load the application directly to the real device and therefore iPhone app developers need to pay the company connection membership fee. Developers can fix the price at their own will and that their applications can be distributed through the App store. Per the company terms, the company will receive 30% of the share while iPhone app developers will receive 70% of the share. Another option for the distribution of the iPhone applications is that developers can release the application for free and will not pay any costs to release the application to the software development company. This is for independent developers.
When software development company needs to release any application, it too has to follow the same guidelines regarding the distribution of the applications. Though, Apple encourages developers, sometimes, if the applications are not acceptable to the company. Also, in case of appropriate applications the company retains full control over their distribution. To give an example of inappropriate application, there was one application called I Am Rich. The company rejected this application just because it displayed the wealth of its user. Hence, any such application that the company does not want the iPhone to have, it just bans it. Another important thing that iPhone app developers need to know is that Apple does not allow native applications to be installed on iPhone outside App store. The company has given a reason for this by saying that those native applications outside App store may get broken by any software update, however, the software update is not focused to break the applications other than those that perform SIM unlocking.
