How to I download the IOS 4.2 software update for iPod touch?
On Apple.com, it states :
“The free iOS 4.2 Software Update brings all-new features to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.1 Just connect your device to your computer to download the update. It’s free. It’s easy. And it lets you do even more with the world’s most advanced mobile operating system.

But, how do I access the update? I cannot find it when I plug my iPod touch into my computer. I have the new iTunes, and a 1st gen. iPod touch. But I need to help figuring this step out. Thanks!
The first generation iTouch and first generation iPhones are not being supported by Apple anymore and do not receive updates
