How do I downgrade from iOS 4.0.2 to 3.1.33.1.2?
Hi. I have an iPhone 3g and Cydia saved my SHSH’s a while ago for 3.1.3 (or 3.1.2, cant remember) and I know apple stopped signing signatures for 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 so what do I do? I have the 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 firmware files downloaded for iPhone 3G so what do I do? Thanks.
To restore to 3.1.3 (firmware that I recommend)
Edit your hosts file on your computer:
Start, All programs, accessories, right-click notepad, run as administrator.
File, Open (all files, not just .txt)
C: Windows System32 drivers etc hosts
Add this line to the bottom:
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
File, Save. Reboot computer.

DFU mode (YouTube can help with the timing)
Plug into iTunes. Cancel any syncing. Hold the power+home buttons for about 10 seconds, but 2 seconds after the screen goes black, release the power button while continuing to hold the home button until iTunes says it recognized your device in recovery mode. If it’s in DFU mode, your screen will remain completely black. If it shows the plug into iTunes picture, your timing was not right.
Hold the Shift key and click Restore.
Browse to the 3.1.3 firmware (.ipsw file).
