Activating an iPhone from the U.K in the U.S.?
My friend is in England and on the o2 network. He’s getting a free G3, but likes his old iPhone and wants to send the new one to me. Can I use/activate an iPhone from the U.K. over here? I’ve been on the phone with AT&T and Apple all afternoon….they don’t seem to have a clue. I don’t want to hack into it or do anything illegal. So please, I need advice other than unlocking. The phone will be new and in the box, so can I just take it to an AT&T store?Thanks!
Unfortunatley the phone wont work in the US, UK and USA use different GSM bandwidths and are not the same…a phone in an unsupported bandwidth will not work: http://www.n1wireless.com/content-25-1448.html
