How can I unlock my iPod?
I cannot sync it to my computer because it no longer exists, and I forgot the 4 digit combo. I called apple and they were totally helpless. An option I could do is move the music from my ipod to my laptop then put it on my iPhone, but I would rather just use my iPod, that is if I can get it fixed. My iPod was dormant for about 4 months, because I thought it was dead, but it turned out the battery is just old and it takes several hours for the iPod to reboot if it dies. But the passwords I thought would work haven’t, and I absolutely have no clue. Is there a way to unlock it without losing my music? Or do I simply need to try every 4 digit combo with numbers 0-9 until I get it? I believe there are 10,000 different combinations.
If you have set a password on your iPod Touch, but have forgot the password, the only thing left to do is to Restore it using these steps:
1. Attach your iPod Touch to the computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Select your device on the left side.
4. Click the Summary tab.
5. Click Restore and follow the instructions to complete the restore process.
