Need a temp phone while my Iphone is getting fixed!?
I just moved to Nashville and my Iphone is having numerous operational problems. I need a cellphone number because I need to be available for job interviews, etc…
Which is the cheapest way to go?
Would I be able to put my SIM Card into a Trac Phone and atleast be able to recieve calls?
I dont need ANY extra features. I literally just need a phone that can recieve incoming and make outgoing calls. I dont even care if the SIM cant transfer any of my contacts.
Or should I go to AT&T and have them charge me atleast $60 to buy a temp phone. I only need it while my iphone is getting fixed. Apple estimated 3-5 business days.

You can’t put an iPhone SIM in a Tracfone, it’ll come up as “SIM card rejected” or similar. Tracfones only work with Tracfone SIMs. You can buy a new Tracfone for $10-20 at most stores, but you’d get a new number. If you’re only using it for a few days I wouldn’t recommend going through the porting process – it might take that long to port the number, and then you’d have to port it back.
Maybe go on craigslist and see if someone has an AT&T phone they’re selling for cheap.
