Dead IPod screen?
Hello,
I have a friend that has an 30GB Video IPod that will not turn on.
Model # is A1136
What is happening is I turn the switch at the top on and with just battery it is dead, but when I connect the USB charger cable, it will blink and then power down. There is nothing showing up on the screen, it just flashes and dies.
It didn’t get wet or was dropped to my knowledge.
The warranty is up so sending it back to Apple is not an option. (unless I am over looking something)

One of two things you can do… Hold down the MENU and the CENTER button…
If that doesn’t work Hold down the MENU and the CENTER button and the same time til the apple pops up… Then when the apple is up hold down at the same time the MENU and the << PERVIOUS button.. This will run a diagonstic on your ipod.. And it will take a while.. If something if wrong it will tell you the error!
