My iPhone won’t charge?
My iPhone’s battery is dead. It shows that flashing red battery thing that tells you to plug the iPhone in so it can charge. I did it, but it won’t charge. I tried all sorts of things, and plugged it into 2 different cables on different computers, used a wall socket adapter, tried my radio alarm clock dock. Nothing worked. I even tried leaving it to charge over night and nothing happened.
Did any other iPhone owner have this problem? How did you fix it? Let it be known that I live in Australia, and I’m don’t live near an Apple store. I also got the phone used off eBay, so there is no warranty. It’s a iPhone 3G, if that helps.
It sounds as though your battery is no longer able to charge. That could be because there’s something wrong with the charging circuitry, or because the battery itself is old enough and used enough that it will no longer hold a charge.
I’d suggest getting a replacement battery; you can get a battery-change kit that includes a new battery online through a variety fo retailers or on eBay. They include the tools that you’ll need to opne your iPhone.
